''The contract notice for the technical assistance project titled “Boosting Green and Low-Carbon Hydrogen in Türkiye”, of which BOTAŞ is the main beneficiary, was published on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal on 12 June 2025.
Funded by the European Union under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) and with a total budget of €3 million, the project aims to support the development of a green and low-carbon hydrogen ecosystem in Türkiye, strengthen institutional capacity, and enhance technical know-how in the hydrogen field.
Key objectives of the project include a technical assessment of BOTAŞ’s existing infrastructure for its compatibility with hydrogen technologies, the development of a nationwide strategic Hydrogen Master Network Plan, and the implementation of comprehensive capacity-building initiatives targeting sectoral stakeholders.
The tender procedure is being carried out by the European Commission’s ENEST.C - Neighbourhood East & Türkiye unit. Applications will be accepted only in English and through electronic submission.
