Energy news from Turkey... ENKA...
As of the end of October 2021, the completion progress of the 3GP Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Project being undertaken by Senimdi Kurylys LLP (ENKA-Bechtel JV) in Tengiz, Kazakhstan stands at 70%. The number of employees working on the project reached 4,500 and almost 10 million person-hours were expended without lost time incident (LTI).
The project is in the initial completion phase of the Utilities and Waste Water/Sour Water/Flares areas which are to be completed by mid-2022 to support the Pressure Boost Facility of Tengizchevroil (TCO). The major accomplishments of the project in the second half of the year include the completion of the first two contractual milestones on 20 and 26 October, with the mechanical completion of the Utility Substation and Maintenance and Operations Building; mechanical completion of 155 (of 962) PBF sub-systems; 2 TCO strategic waypoints (completion of utilities module integration in September and energization of 110KV substation in October); erection of Train 1 and Train 2 flare structures and riser piping, with both structures standing at 180 m high. We would like to thank the entire project team for achieving the first two contractual milestones on schedule, allowing the start of TCO’s pre-commissioning activities.
