- RENEWABLE HYDROGEN IN TÜRKİYE’S DECARBONIZATION PATH: PRIORITY APPLICATION AREAS AND POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS
The report titled ‘Renewable Hydrogen in Türkiye’s Decarbonization Path: Priority Application Areas and Policy Recommendations,’ prepared by SHURA Energy Transition Center, focuses on identifying priority sectors in Türkiye while examining the end-use applications of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives, which are expected to play a significant role in decarbonizing the Turkish economy.
Within the scope of the report, cost-benefit analyses were conducted to determine the sectors where the use of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives should be prioritized. The sectoral benefits they could bring to the Turkish economy through 2053 were also calculated. Additionally, policy recommendations were developed to facilitate the formation of a renewable hydrogen ecosystem and market.
