International Energy Agency (IEA) President Dr. Fatih Birol: I observe everywhere that the interest in nuclear has increased very seriously after the invasion of Ukraine. We suggested to the governments of Belgium, Germany and Japan to consider putting nuclear back on the agenda… The world is already making a comeback in nuclear energy. Many European countries, especially the UK, USA and France, are countries that give the big share to nuclear in their new energy strategies.'

Birol made this statement at the "Energy Security, Clean Energy & Role of Finance" conference organized by the Sabancı University Istanbul International Center for Energy and Climate (IICEC).
