Türkiye's energy bill for "oil - natural gas and coal" was $88 billion!

Meeting its primary demand for crude oil and natural gas through imports, Turkey's energy costs exceeded $88 billion last year (2022). Accordingly, the cost of the total 50 million tons of imported oil and oil products was $40 billion. The cost of natural gas was $38.4 billion (total import of 55 billion cubic meters). Turkey imported 38 million tons of coal last year, with a monetary value of $10 billion. Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar made this significant announcement.
