Turkey will use its own natural gas in homes
Turkey had discovered 540 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the Black Sea (Sakarya Gas Field). Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez: "There has been no setback in the natural gas discovered in the Black Sea so far. We will bring this gas in the first quarter of 2023, we will start using it. The field is large, we will drill many wells and prepare them for production. The produced gas will come to the shore via the pipeline and will be processed. It will be connected to the national system and everyone will use it. We will reach the maximum production level around 2025-2026. Then for 20 years, the gas of the houses will be our natural gas.
Turkey will build a 170 km pipeline from sea to land to use natural gas. With maximum production, all houses in Turkey will use domestic natural gas.
