Turkey's 3rd nuclear power plant will be established in Thrace. Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced that the location studies for the 3rd nuclear power plant have started.

Turkey's first nuclear power plant construction continues in Nerdin Akkuyu. The first unit of the power plant will start generating electricity in the first quarter of 2023.

Turkey had decided to establish its second nuclear power plant in Sinop.
