In November 1969...

In November 1969, ENKA started participating in an interesting project which was to link European side of Istanbul to Asian side: the construction of the Bosphorus Bridge and peripheral highways. The construction of eight prestressed overpasses between Bosphorus Bridge and the viaduct at Mecideköy, building of the main highway and clover leaves in this particular area was undertaken by ENKA. ENKA completed the Ortaköy viaducts – three prestressed viaducts on the main arteries linking Bosphorus Bridge to Mecideköy, Levent and Beşiktaş a month before the completion of the Bosphorus Bridge itself, by applying the latest construction techniques at that time.
