"BOTAŞ has been made aware that some individuals and/or companies have attempted to commit fraudulent activities in Turkey and abroad, falsely promising to supply natural gas at an affordable price by using counterfeited documents claimed to be issued by our Organization and its officials.

"BOTAŞ has been made aware that some individuals and/or companies have attempted to commit fraudulent activities in Turkey and abroad, falsely promising to supply natural gas at an affordable price by using counterfeited documents claimed to be issued by our Organization and its officials.
Please be aware of this scam and do not engage persons who present themselves as the officials of a private company and allege that they were offered natural gas at an affordable price by BOTAŞ and they would like to re-sell such gas to you. The documents presented by these fraudsters are forged and were not issued by BOTAŞ and its personnel, and the signatures on them do not belong to the officials of our Corporation. We would like to also announce that an official application was made to the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor in order to initiate an investigation against the suspects and initiate a public lawsuit.
In order not to be exposed to a potential fraud, please disregard any person or company falsely promising to re- sell natural gas at an affordable price and asking for any kind of benefit by presenting the forged documents issued by using BOTAŞ name, logo and the name of officials and their forged signatures. Otherwise, please be informed that under no circumstances shall BOTAŞ be held liable or responsible for any claims, losses, damages, expenses or other inconvenience resulting from or in any way connected to the actions of these fraudsters. Therefore, if you encounter similar offers, please immediately contact our Corporation from the information given below, and legal authorities should such documents be proven forged or any damage rise.
This statement was deemed necessary in order to provide accurate information to the public, to prevent any damages, and any fraud attempts by use of forged documents falsely claimed to be issued by BOTAŞ and its officials.
