Abstract:

Energy is required to meet fundamental needs in our life and needs increase by the day. The concept of energy poverty is refers to households that cannot meet their energy needs sufficiently or not at all. Since it was first introduced in the UK more than 20 years ago, it has attracted the attention of researchers and policy-makers in the EU and other countries. Due to the nature of energy poverty and its multi-dimensional structure, complexity and multi-component concept, we will in this study try to integrate the concept of “energy poverty” with its components to make a comprehensive assessment of the energy poverty.
