Commenced in May 2018, the 3GP Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Installation works project will increase the Tengiz, Kazakhstan oil field’s annual oil production capacity by 12 million tons. By the end of Aug 2019, completion progress reached 11.5% and the number of employees working on the project site achieved 1,300 and more than 1.6 million person-hours had been worked without lost time incident (LTI). The major site accomplishments of the project include the completion of 17 module stacks and 5 modules set on foundation, the erection of 1,100 tons of structural steel, the fabrication of 2,320 tons of pipe as well as the commencement of pipe installation. Furthermore, 5,700 m2 equipment insulation had been completed, 3 Major Building structural steel erection works are in progress and 20 ea major mechanical equipment / vendor package had been installed on the project.
